Site work and paving for a water / sewer project in East Tawas, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for paving for a water / sewer project.
furnish and install 270 linear feet of crib seawall within footprint of existing shoreline protection and place 400 cubic yards of clean rock riprap backfill landward of the new seawall. The completed project shall include a continuous seawall along the Parks shoreline from the Citys western property line to the eastern end of the existing metal retaining wall, terminating landward and toeing into stable ground. The wall shall be capped with a concrete boardwalk covering both the new crib wall and the existing metal retaining wall. The concrete surface is to be stamped and colored to look like wood. Bid reductions for a wooded boardwalk are encouraged and will be considered. All broken concrete, stone, and debris lakeward of the new seawall shall be removed a minimum of 20 throughout the length of the project leaving the natural submerged sand beach. Topsoil fill and seed are to be provided to create a smooth transition from the park grass surface to the boardwalk. All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications of the existing EGLE permit. Crib wall proposals shall include a poured concrete boardwalk covering the crib wall and existing steel retaining wall. Wooden boardwalk proposals will be accepted with a preference that both options be submitted. Bid and Performance Bonds will be required. There are no liquidated damages. The City of East Tawas reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
