Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in DeWitt, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,800-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.

The project consists of a one-story, slab on grade building that will be used to store equipment for the DeWitt Street Department The 4,800 SF slab-on-grade garage will have 6 vehicle parking bays with overhead sectional doors to each bay. The Building will be framed using engineered lumber and gang-nailed trusses. The exterior of the building will have metal siding and the roof will be a ribbed metal panel system. The foundation will be poured-in-place and reinforced concrete. The floor will be concrete slab. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in amount of 5% of base bid submitted, made payable to owner, as guarantee that bidder will, if awarded, enter into contract in accordance with contract documents and submitted bid. Upon award of Contract, Contractor shall provide AIA A312 Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of Contract Sum in accordance with General Conditions and Amendments to General Conditions. Work will begin after receipt of the signed contract from the Owner. The anticipated award date is July 15, 2024. Pre-construction and submittals work related to the project is to commence immediately after receipt of the signed contract. The City of DeWitt hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities and award a contract as deemed to be in the best interest of the city. If bidders choose to visit the site at a later date, a walk-thru may be scheduled by contacting City Hall. No extras will be allowed because of the bidder's misinterpretation to the amount of work involved, bidder's own error, negligence, or failure to examine the site.
