Sagamore Fire Emergency Generator Replacement - The City of Chelsea Department of Public Works seeks quotes for the replacement of an emergency generator at our Engine 1 Fire Station (32 Sagamore Ave, Chelsea MA 02150). Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The existing generator is located inside the station. The City is open to placing the new generator outside if cost effective. Provide one (1) new 20KW, NG, 120/240V, single-phase generator with one 100A Line Breaker, emergency stop button (EPO Button), battery and battery charger at exterior location noted on previous site review. Remove and dispose of existing 12.5KW generator. For exterior placement, provide new generator pad and safety bollards as well as site work (pavement cutting, trenching, backfill and patching). Provide delivery, off-loading, and rigging to set new generator. Provide conduits / wiring for new generator feeder, battery charger circuit, heater circuit, and controls. Rework existing transfer switch for use with new generator. Provide manufacturers technician for required start-up, testing, commissioning, and owner training. Fuel and fuel connections by others. Work to be performed during normal work hours. One (1) year warranty on all parts and labor. Five (5) warranty on Generator.
