This contract provides for improvements to Boblett Street between State Route (SR) 543 and Ludwick Avenue. Work includes widening Boblett to add a center left-turn lane, a right-turn slip lane on Yew Avenue, restriping to improve channelization, sidewalk and ADA ramp installation and replacement, crosswalks, storm drain conveyance, a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), a new roundabout, and other work, in accordance with the Contract Plans, Special Provisions, the Standard Specifications, and Standard Plans. All materials, equipment, labor, and other miscellaneous items required to complete the work shall be furnished by the contractor. All proposals must be upon regular blank forms and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the City of Blaine in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. A one hundred percent (100%) contract surety bond will be required. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonable period of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waiver informalities in the bidding. The engineer's estimate is between $3,200,000 and $3,800,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
