Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; for the addition of a 280,000-square-foot transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Plans include adding seven new gates capable of serving both domestic and international flights, along with an expanded and modernized baggage handling system and an upgraded baggage claim hall. The project also introduces a new overhead canopy along the departures curb, providing weather protection and creating a covered connection between the Red Garage and the terminal. Additional improvements build on Southwest Airlines’ earlier expansion, which delivered a 280,000-square-foot West Concourse featuring five gates for domestic and international service, a ticketing hall, a Federal Inspection Services facility, and an expanded TSA checkpoint. As of March 5, 2026, the firm construction and completion timelines has not been released.
