Contract "A" (WX21121015) will include the installation of +-47,800 LF of 3" IPS HDPE DR11 waterline, +-1,020 LF of 3" IPS HDPE DR9 waterline, +-9,300 LF of 2" IPS HDPE DR11 waterline, a 20 GPM Hydro-pneumatic Booster Pump Station, and related appurtenances. Contract "B" (WX21121532) will include the installation of +-28,400 LF of 4" DIPS HDPE DR11 waterline, +-3,300 LF of 3" IPS HDPE DR11 waterline, three (3) 20 GPM online Booster Pump Stations and related appurtenances. Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, and reclamation necessary to complete the construction of the water and sewer facilities described in the contract documents and plans. Time of completion for each contract is 270 calendar days. Determination of the successful Bid will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder whose qualifications indicate the award will be in the best interest of the OWNER and whose Bid/proposal complies with all the prescribed requirements. No Notice of Award will be given until the OWNER has concluded such investigation as deemed necessary to establish the responsibility, qualifications and financial ability of Bidders to do the work in accordance with the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of the OWNER within the time prescribed. The OWNER reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder who does not pass such investigation to the OWNER's satisfaction. In analyzing Bids, the OWNER may take into consideration alternate and unit prices, if requested by the Bid forms. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Knox County Fiscal Court in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date bids are opened. He may, however, withdraw his bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
