In general, the project consists of reconstruction of approximately 1.111 miles of 490 th Avenue. The project includes removing the existing pavement, grading, breaker run, pipe replacement, base aggregate, and HMA paving. A single prime bid will be received for the work. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period of time as specified in the Wis. Dept. of Transportation Standard Specifications. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Contract and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. The work under this contract shall consist of Grading, Culvert Pipes, Base Aggregate, Breaker Run, and HMA pavement and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract.
