Bids received through mail by the Washburn County Highway Department, later than the time set forth above will be returned unopened. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities, and to select the bid proposal deemed most advantageous to the Washburn County Highway Department. To be given consideration, a request for interpretation must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the review of the qualifications packages. Hot Applied Sealant 45,000 pounds (or one truck load):
a. The first type shall be single component, elastically modified composition of asphalt cement,
virgin synthetic rubber, and other modifiers.
b. This material will be used in a hot-oil jacketed melter (Crafco E-Z Pour 400).
c. Comparable products are Craftco's Roadsaver 201 NB.
d. The material must be capable of cooling and re-heating in the Pour Pot.
e. Product specified must meet the requirements of ASTM D6690 type II and have these similar
properties:
Cone Penetration @ 77oF ASTM-D5329 90 dmm max
Flow @ 140oF ASTM- D5329 3mm max.
Resilience ASTM-D5329 60% min.
Softening Point ASTM-D36 176oF min.
Bond @ -20oF 50% max
