Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Auburn, Kansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project includes the construction of a new 12'x15' exterior ADA CMU block bathroom with metal room matching the newly constructed exercise pavilion. The contractor shall provide all permits, equipment, labour. parts, and appurtenances necessary to construct the new bathroom complete and in working order. The project shall also include a new 5' wide ADA compliant sidewalk, ADA ramp to the Civic center parking area, and restriping of the parking area to create 2 new ADA van-accessible handicap stalls. The contractor shall also be responsible for all necessary utility connections and terminations to the facility. project is being partially funded by Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program managed by the Kansas Department of Commerce. The contractor and their subcontractors on this project will be required to comply with the federal Davis-Bacon Act, Copeland "Anti-Kickback" Act; and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. Wage rates paid for construction work shall be at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the U. S. Department of Labour.
