Alberta Infrastructure (“INFRA”) has received Government of Alberta approval to proceed with the procurement to design, build, finance and maintain (“DBFM”) six new schools in Alberta. The P3 Schools Bundle #6 (the “DBFM Project”) is a continuation of, and will be structured similarly to, the prior Alberta Schools Alternative Procurement (“ASAP”), Building Alberta’s School Construction Program (“BASCP”), and P3 Schools Bundles #2 and P3 Schools Bundle #5 projects and in line with Alberta’s Public-Private Partnership Framework and Guideline (as defined in Appendix “A”). The six schools to be built as part of the DBFM Project will be located in Airdrie, Calgary, Cochrane, and Edmonton (three). These six new schools are intended to open for School Jurisdiction (as defined below) use in 2028. The new schools will be built to provincial standards and to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) Silver Certification. The Government of Alberta is seeking to shortlist proponents to deliver six schools selected as suitable candidates for the delivery using a Design Build Finance Maintain methodology. These schools are located within the Edmonton and Calgary regions. The schools would be delivered as a bundle which would provide over 5,300 student spaces and over 45,000 square metres of learning space.
