Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of the following trades/ supplies Carpenter, Electricians, Plumbers, Laborers, Operators Installation and maintenance of Erosion and Sedimentation Controls; Earthwork and grading; Bituminous parking lot and trails paving; bituminous wedge curb; Concrete curb and walk; Permeable paver parking area; Trail amenities including installation of prefabricated pedestrian bridges and foundations and overlook areas; Storm water management improvements Type M inlets, CPP storm sewers, perforated underdrain Rain garden construction including outlet structure and rain garden soil mix; Potable water improvements including copper water service; Electrical improvements including installation of pedestrian lights and pole bases, junction boxes, schedule 80 conduit and new 200-amp service; and Site restoration. Any technical questions regarding the bid documents are to be directed to LSSE. 5% VOSBPARTICIPATION Contract No. 23-PK1 - Acorn Park Improvements generally consists of reconstruction of a park including select demolition; earthwork and grading; 550 SY of bituminous parking lot and 600 SY of bituminous trails each including 8" limestone subbase 19mm WMA binder course, and 9.5mm WMA wearing course; bituminous wedge curb; concrete curb; 350 SY of permeable paver parking area; trail amenities including installation of prefabricated pedestrian bridges and foundations and overlook areas; stormwater management improvements including 3 Type M inlets, 95 LF of 15"-18" CPP storm sewers, 275 LF of 6" perforated underdrain, rain garden construction including outlet structure and rain garden soil mix; 310 SY of infiltration trenches, potable water improvements including 200 LF of 2" copper water service; electrical improvements including installation of 9 pedestrian lights and pole bases, 16 junction boxes, 1,400 LF of schedule 80 conduit, 200 amp service plan and all wiring to place system in operation; site restoration including installation of topsoil and seeding; erosion and sedimentation controls and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction. Refer to Appendices for Grant Agreements. The site is located within Acorn Park, off of Magee Road and Little Sewickley Creek Road within Franklin Park Borough, Allegheny County. The existing site consists of Acorn Park, wooded areas with nature trails, hillsides, recreational park areas, Little Sewickley Creek, six (6) Tributaries to Little Sewickley Creek. The site is considered steep throughout, with an average slope of roughly 14%. Runoff from the site drains to the main stem of Little Sewickley Creek (R001).
