PURPOSE: The City of Fairfax, Virginia (City) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit sealed proposals in order to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for a Parking Study of the City's Old Town Area. The City seeks a draft report for all tasks within six months of contract award. 2. CONTRACT TERM AND RENEWAL: The contract term will be one year from date of award. The City reserves the right to renew the contract for one successive one-year period based on need, satisfactory contractor performance, and if agreeable to all parties. Automatic contract renewals are prohibited. Contract renewals must be authorized by and coordinated by the City's Purchasing Agent. CANCELLATION OF CONTRACT: The City reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. In the event the initial contract period is for more than 12 months, the resulting contract may be terminated by the contractor, without penalty, after the initial 12 months of the contract period upon 60 days written notice to the other party. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation.
