All bids shall be submitted on the basis of lump sum as provided in the bid specifications. Payment to successful bidder shall be net thirty (30) days after receipt of products, materials, services or invoices, whichever is later unless otherwise stated in specifications. The right is reserved, as the interest of Montgomery County Commissioners' Court may require rejecting any one or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. All bids received after the above designated closing time will be returned unopened. A Bid Bond from an approved surety company-holding permit from the State of Texas will be required. A Cashier's or Certified Check or Bidder's Bond payable to the order of the OWNER, in an amount not less than 5% of the greatest amount of proposal submitted must accompany the Contractors Bid. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in an amount not less than 100% of the Contract Sum, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract, will be required. This project requires exterior painting of the Ed Chance Annex Building. Building Location: 1520 Lake Front Circle, Spring, Texas 77380 Total Square Footage of the Building: 44,000 SF Scope of Work: - Soft wash and pressure wash the exterior building surfaces including all standing seam metal detail on perimeter and roof structures. - Caulk and repair exterior windows and window components - Paint all exterior surfaces: Maroon on all metal surfaces and sandstone on tilt up wall surfaces. - Paint tilt up concrete walls located in the rear, bollards, rear parking lot awnings and supports, surface mounted conduit, HVAC supports and outriggers and other miscellaneous items associated with the exterior of the building. - Paint color samples and warranty information must be submitted to Montgomery County and approved before start of paint phase. - Contractor shall state on the Bid Form the number of calendar days he requires to substantially complete the work. - Contractor will be responsible for maintaining all safety standard regulations. - Work on weekends and after hours preferred. No bid shall be withdrawn for ninty (90) days after opening of the bids without consent of Owner. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to accept or reject any Alternates; to accept any bid considered advantageous; and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid which, in his judgement, is in his own best interest.
