Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Detroit, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

1. The Contractor shall furnish, install, and maintain as long as necessary and remove when no longer required, all necessary engineering controls to prevent erosion and sedimentation of on-site soils as required by, and in accordance with Part 91 of P.A. 451 and any local, State, and Federal soil erosion and sedimentation control permit. 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for all application fees and all necessary permits for soil erosion and sedimentation control, prior to the commencement of work. ALL questions should be emailed to Julie Barton at bartonj@aktperless.com no later than 2:00 p.m., Eastern on July 5, 2024 Removal and disposal of pavement, and improvements necessary to remove contamination from the open leaking underground storage tank (LUST) release, including removal of the existing parking lot, concrete aprons with concrete curbing. Removal of abandoned underground storage tank (UST) systems including tanks, piping, fill ports, dispenser island, etc. Removal and proper disposal of contaminated soils, up to, but not beneath roadway and not within right-of-way utility corridors. Removal and proper disposal of contaminated groundwater, if encountered, from the excavation. Collection of verification soil samples. Verification soil samples will be taken discretely. Backfilling and compacting the excavation with certified clean fill to existing grade, covered with topsoil from an approved source, and seeding with grass or other material as determined in consultation with EGLE and the property owner. Replacement of sidewalks and other public infrastructure if damaged by site remedial activities. Replacement of any deteriorated or damaged sidewalks present on the properties. Restoration of the remaining portion of the site with grass seeding and repair of any damage to the public infrastructure or right-of-way.
