**As of August 28,2024, project was awarded to Reliant Construction, Inc., awarded amount is $93,674.91 .** Public Notice is Hereby Given That the City of Auburn as Agency and Almost Free To All (AFTA), Invite Sealed Proposals for the 2024 Carnegie Library Ada Access Entrance and Restroom Project in the Offices of the Public Works Director, 1225 Lincoln Way, Auburn, California 95603. The City of Auburn is proposing front and rear entrance modifications, door hardware replacement, a bathroom remodel, and improvements according to plants and specifications. The agency's estimated cost of the project is $150,000.00 Proposals will be opened and read in the Public Works Director's Office, Room 3. Proposals received after the deadline will be returned unopened. All information submitted with the proposal is public information and may be subject to disclosure. All hardcopy proposals should include 2 copies and shall be enclosed in a sealed package plainly marked "REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, CITY OF AUBURN, CARNEGIE LIBRARY ADA ENTRANCE AND RESTROOM PROJECT". The lower front entrance and backdoor entrance shall be modified to revise elevations and slopes for a gentle transition into the building. Existing infrastructure shall be demolished and rebuilt as shown in the plans. Doors and related hardware shall be replaced for code compliance as specified on the plans. Interior work includes remodeling the downstairs bathroom. Walls shall be demolished and new walls built or filled in, and plumbing and electrical relocated. Contractor shall noted the following: (1) that lead base abatement has already been completed; (2) coordinate with AFTA when the new entrance doors are procured and scheduled for replacement so that the Abatement Contractor can be scheduled to remove the existing; (3) modifications to the second level floor are not included in the scope as noted on the plans.
