Scotts Ridge School Fence Replacement The Town of Ridgefield is requesting proposals from qualified installers for the supply and installation of chain link fence to replace existing fencing around a multi-purpose athletic field. The successful bidder will be responsible for coordinating their work with Robert Schneider, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation. In general, the scope of services shall include, but not be limited to, the following items: Furnish and install new black vinal coated chain link fence according to specifications below. Fence will be installed reusing the existing pole hardware. All wire gauges specified indicate wire gauge before coating. Install 675 linear feet (LF) of 4', 9 ga. black vinal coated chain link fence. Install 275 LF of 6', 9.ga. black vinal coated chain link fence. Install 375 LF of 12', 6 ga. black vinal coated chain link fence. Tie in new 12' fence with existing upper fence sections and tie in loose sections of upper 12' fence. Install new 4', 9 ga. black vinal coated chain link fence on all gates and adjust gates as needed. The Town will be responsible for removal and disposal of existing fence material. We have Not included the replacement of any Existing Pole Earth Screw Anchors. Obtain all permitting as required, fees will be waived. All existing poles to remain. Work will be completed no later than August 23, 2024. If unforeseen circumstances will cause work to continue August 23, 2024, the successful bidder will schedule work after this date to ensure school use of the field is not disrupted. A neat and orderly project site shall be maintained through the entire project The awarded contractor shall repair any damage to field or other school or town property which may occur as a result of the project.
