Renovation of a municipal facility in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Rice Lake is the owner of the building located at 34 South Wilson Avenue. The building is occupied by the Rice Lake Police and Fire Departments and is occupied on a 24/7 basis. Replace the existing Trane Rooftop Unit with a unit of the same size and functionality of the current unit. The City included funding to address major problems with the building's HVAC system in its 2024 Budget. This RFQ addresses only the Rooftop Air Conditioner of the HVAC for this building. The City reserves the right to cancel this Request for Quotation for any reason without any liability to any contractor or to waive irregularities at its discretion. This solicitation does not constitute a contract, offer of employment, or offer of purchase. The City makes no representation any contract will be awarded to any respondent to this solicitation. The City also reserves the right to reject any and all quotations at its sole discretion. Clarification of terms and conditions of the proposal process shall be directed to: Kathleen V. All questions and answers will be posted on the City website as addenda to the RFQ not later than July 24, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. CST. Pre-bid meeting info : The Rice Lake Fire Department will allow earlier site walk throughs during normal business hours - M-F 8am-4pm. Replace the existing Trane Rooftop Unit (RTU) with a unit of the same size and functionality of the current unit. The new unit should be selected based on it being controlled from an existing building automation system (BAS). It is preferred that the selected contractor selects Bartingale Mechanical for all building automation work unless said contractor has the qualifications and ability to integrate to the existing BAS. The city shall have final decision on the selection of the BAS contractor to perform the work needed to integrate the RTU into the BAS. Work Performed by Contractor Provide all work under design/build basis meeting requirements of this Scope of Work. Provide all work per applicable Wisconsin State Codes. Provide products, materials, and mechanical methods required for complete operating system to include: o Crane or lifting device for removal and installation of new unit. o Disposal of old unit. o All low and line voltage electrical work. o Any roof repairs / roofing curb modifications or roofing patch work needed related to the RTU replacement. o RTU Controls o Startup Provide power wiring as required for Work Performed by Contractor. Provide control wiring as required for Work Performed by BAS Contractor. Provide cutting and patching of existing surfaces as required for Work Performed by Contractor. Remove and legally dispose of all items resulting from demolition for Work Performed by Contractor. Field verifies existing conditions before performing any work. Provide one year warranty from date of Substantial Completion for all work. Coordinate all work with Owner.
