Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Carmel, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Contract 1 - Memorial Park Pedestrian Bridge over Lake Carmel Inlet- This contract includes construction of a new pedestrian bridge and trail reconstruction in Memorial Park in the Town of Kent. The owner for this contract is the Town of Kent. Construction will include but is not limited to mobilization, open-cut installation of new bridge, installation of cofferdams and temporary waterway diversion system, installation of steel sheeting, forming and pouring of new concrete abutments, placement of superstructure provided by the Town of Kent, and construction of new decking surface and bridge railings. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Each bid or proposal must contain a non-collusion affidavit executed by the bidder or his authorized representative. Separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. Each bid must be submitted within a sealed opaque envelope. The name of the bidder and "Memorial Park Pedestrian Bridge over Lake Carmel Inlet Project" shall be clearly marked on such envelope. If a bid is sent by mail or other delivery system, both the outside packaging and sealed envelope containing the bid within shall be clearly marked "Memorial Park Pedestrian Bridge over Lake Carmel Inlet Project The Town's Engineer for Memorial Park Pedestrian Bridge over Lake Carmel Inlet project is Barton & Loguidice, DPC. All correspondence related to the bid should be submitted in writing to the Engineer: Barton & Loguidice, DPC 10 Airline Drive, Suite 200 Albany, NY 12205 Attn: Joseph J. Fremante, P.E. e-mail: ifremante@bartonandloguidice.com The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. All work items in this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days following the date the Contractor is notified to proceed with work unless extended by the Owner as provided herein.
