The City of Chilliwack (City) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EIs) from qualified Respondents to construct the "City Hall Parking Lot Expansion" (the "Project"). The purpose of this Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) is to solicit submissions from Respondents, with expertise in parking lot construction including streetlighting, storm works, asphalt paving, concrete works, and landscaping. The City has identified objectives and desired outcomes as they relate to parking lot construction including the following: construction of parking lots including civil infrastructure, in a cost-effective manner; little or no disruption to neighbours or neighbouring businesses; little or no disruption to vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic; no disruption to parking in nearby City owned parking lots; no property damage to neighbouring properties; effective dust control; reduced noise emissions; and ensure public safety at all times The scope of work for the project could include but not be limited to: Installation of storm sewer piping, Installation of sanitary sewer piping, Installation of water mains, Installation of street lighting; Construction of parking lot sub-grade; Construction of concrete curbs and sidewalks Installation of asphalt surface; Vegetation removal; Line painting; and Landscape removal and reinstatement.
