Renovation of a municipal facility in West Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Replace one (1) existing 2.5 (two and a half) ton water source heat-pump unit. Remove and properly dispose of old unit and all piping, duct work and electrical that will not be reused. Provide and install complete new ducted mini-split 2.5 (two and a half) ton system. Modify duct work as required to provide proper air flow to each space served. Condenser shall be hung on exterior wall nearest the air handler unit. Basis of Design: Mitsubishi P Series 2.5 ton heat pump (PUZ-A30NHA7), 2.5 ton air handler (PVA-A30AA7) or approved equal. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: Any prospective offeror desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing. Questions regarding the original solicitation or any amendment must be received by the Procurement Officer no later than five (5) days prior to opening unless an earlier date is stated on the Cover Page. Label any communication regarding your questions with the name of the procurement officer, and the solicitation's title and number. Oral explanations or instructions will not be binding. The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire services and supplies or equipment complying with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions. Start date: 07/23/2024-End date: 12/31/2024. Dates provided are estimates only. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. Label any communication regarding your questions with the name of the procurement officer, and the solicitation's tit The HVAC itself and any components used to connect or affix the unit to the building (including thermostats) must be manufactured in the United States. Replace existing thermostat with new programmable two-stage thermostat 24 volt control interface to match new system. Air Handler Unit shall have a new drain pan with float switch and EZ trap drain protector installed and connected to the existing drain line. Conceal refrigerant lineset with lineset covering or run in wall cavity. The existing lines from the cooling tower will have the valves shut, capped off and abandoned. All equipment removal, disposal, and any electrical component replacement needed to complete the installation shall be included. Installation of equipment. duct work and piping shall comply with the current International Building Code. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner to meet local codes. Any deviation from the specification involving extra cost shall be executed only upon written approval by owner. Workman's Compensation/General liability insurance shall be furnished by the mechanical contractor. All material and work provided in accordance with these specifications shall be guaranteed for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance. Upon failure of any part or parts of the system during the guaranteed, the affected part shall be repaired promptly by and at the expense of the mechanical contractor. The equipment (mini-split system) shall have a ten (10) year warranty. All other material, equipment and workmanship shall be guaranteed for one (1) year. The outdoor unit shall be powered through the existing air handler disconnect which will be removed and converted to a junction box. Run high voltage in conduit and also lineset and control wire to the condenser. Install new surge protected disconnect. There will be no variation in specification unless approved in writing by SCVRD.
