The Scope of Work for this tender will include, but shall not be limited to: Heart Lake First Nation Inter-Jurisdictional Access Road Part A: From HLFN/County Boundary to Hwy 881 Part B (Provisional): Intersection Upgrade at Hwy 881 and HLFN Inter-Jurisdictional Access Road Topsoil Stripping Common Excavation Channel Excavation Borrow Excavation - Contractor Supplied Topsoil Placement Grubbing Supply and Install Erosion Control Barrier (Silt Fence) Supply and Installation of Culverts Granular Backfill (Des 2 Cl 40) Supply and Installation of Signs and Guideposts Gravel Surfacing (Des 4 Cl 20) Broad-Cast Seeding Cutting of Pavement Cold Milling Asphalt Pavement Granular Base Course (Des 2 Cl 25) (400mm thick) Asphalt Concrete Pavement Mix Type M1, PG 52-34 (200mm thick) Intersection Line Painting TIMELINE: Tender from general contractors issued in 2024 was subsequently cancelled by the owner. The project is expected to be re-tendered once funding has been approved (timelines unknown). Further update may be available by late 2025/2026.
