Site work and paving for a civil project in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
** As of 10/8/2024 project has been awarded to Eadies Construction with an awarded amount of $756,741.37.** The project consists of the following described work: a. Replace an existing aged effluent line from the Forest Trails WWTP to the receiving water body. It consists of approximately 960 linear feet of new 16-inch gravity sewer line with manholes. The project also includes the installation of two outfall boxes, miscellaneous pavement repairs, and site restoration This project is being funded in whole or in part by the South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP), which is administered by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) and funded by federal State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). All federal SLFRF requirements and SCIIP requirements will apply to the contract. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM) and may not be debarred from doing business with the federal government. Respondents on this work will be required to comply with all applicable federal regulations, including those listed in Exhibit A Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in South Carolina with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, shall be required of the successful bidder if the contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the at tomey-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner
