Asbestos abatement and renovation of a mixed-use development in Burbank, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Generally, the work includes removal and disposal lead based paint materials in accordance with all federal and state rules and regulations for abatement in public and private schools. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the Springfield School District #186. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be cause for rejection of bid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Board of Education for Springfield School District #186 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding,
