Time is of the essence in the performance and completion of this Contract. The Contractor shall commence the Work on the date set by the Owner in the Notice to Proceed, and shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work within 320 calendar days thereafter, unless modified as provided in the Contract Documents. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES. Liquidated Damages are provided for in Sections 108, 623 and 624 of the Special Provisions and in Section 6 of the General Conditions in the amount of $1,500 per day for each calendar day the completion of the Work is delayed beyond the completion deadline, or Owner approved extensions thereof. Bidders shall submit the Bid Security with the Bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid pledging that the Bidder will within three (3) business days after issuance of a Notice of Award. Performance Bond insuring performance of all of the obligations of the Contactor as required by the Contract in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount.
