The Leucadia Wastewater District (referred to as District or Owner) is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the Owner's San Marcos Creek Crossing Diversion Project (Project) which includes the installation of 10" gravity sewer pipelines, precast concrete manholes, cast in place concrete manhole bases; abandonment and demolition of existing sewer facilities; modification of existing manholes; sewer lateral reintegration; steep slope restoration; rock and boulder excavation; landscaping and surface restoration, pavement replacement, PCC pavement replacement, flatwork curb and gutter replacement, utility support and protection. All other work necessary to complete the work in its entirety including, but not limited to: providing bypass pumping system as necessary to complete the work of the project; protecting existing structures and facilities and maintaining sewer service at all times; completing site restoration; obtaining all permits and conforming to permit and regulatory requirements; trenching, backfilling, compaction; sheeting, shoring, bracing; traffic control; potholing; and protection or replacement of all existing utilities, structures, surface improvements, and all other existing improvements within the Work areas; restoring disturbed areas and easement areas and surface improvements to original conditions; and all miscellaneous work as shown, specified and directed for a complete operating installation. Bids shall be executed on the forms contained in the Contract Documents and in accordance with the instructions contained therein. Bid security, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount, is required to be submitted with each bid. The bidder to whom the award is made will be required to furnish a payment bond and a faithful performance bond. Pursuant to the requirements under Permits and Licenses in the Information for Bidders of the bidding documents, bidders shall be Class A licensed in the classification of General Engineering Contracting as of the date of submittal of the bid documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner.
