Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Canton, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and road / highway.

Qualified vendor to replace sidewalk, Stormwater structures, road resurfacing, and retaining walls. The vendor shall provide licensed, qualified personnel to remove and replace and/or construct replace sidewalk, stormwater structures, road resurfacing, and retaining walls according to the specifications and conditions: A. Sidewalk Repair o Remove and replace 190ft of 5 ft sidewalk and header curb o Prepare sub-base and framework necessary. o Pour and finish new concrete to match existing sidewalk specifications. o Add 2 ADA compliant ramps with truncated domes o Remove and replace driveway apron o Replace existing fire hydrant with 5.25 M&H, make sure this includes exposed valve riser/lid B. Handrail o Remove and replace existing handrail with 50LF by 36inch ADA compliant metal handrail C. Stormwater Pipe Rehabilitation o Remove and replace existing brick storm structure with 4ft precast structure o Include hood, grate and frame. o Remove and replace existing header curb at the storm structure appr. 20feet o Inspect stormwater pipe for defects and cleaning requirements. D. Road Resurfacing o Remove and replace 190LF of roadway, this will require no less than 190lf of 4inch base repair (12.5mm) o Remove and replace sanitary sewer frames and lids. Traffic rated frames and lids shall be placed over existing manholes, Level to match finish grade. o All water/gas valve risers shall be adjusted to grade or replaced if necessary. Risers, if necessary, shall be supplied and installed by the contractor. o All striping will require thermos plastic striping o Temporary striping is required within 24 hours of paving. Optional a. Retaining Wall o Remove and replace existing retaining wall with poured concrete b. Gault Wall o Remove and replace existing retaining wall with poured concrete. o Remove curb and replace 52LF header curb E. Installation Requirements: The vendor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and any other specialized tools necessary. Vendor is responsible for all debris removal. F. Changes: In the event a contract is awarded, the City may at any time during the contract periods make changes within the general scope of the contract and it technical provisions. If any such changes cause any increase or decrease in the Contractors cost of performing any part of the contract, an equitable adjustment shall be made in the contract price, or in the time of performance, or both, and a written agreement of such adjustment shall be made prior to proceeding with additional services. No additional service shall be performed until written authorization is received from the City. Nothing in this clause shall excuse the contractor from proceeding with the performance of the contract in accordance with its original terms and conditions and any approved changes. G. Time To Completion: The time allowed for substantial completion is 90 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 120 days from the date a notice to proceed is issued by the City of Canton. All bids will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the date of the bid opening, but Owner may, at its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and re-advertise.
