The Village of Fox Lake (hereafter Village) is accepting sealed proposals from qualified companies to provide Refuse and Recycling Services to include all labor, equipment, vehicles, materials, and related services necessary for the collection of residential waste, recyclable materials, and landscape waste/food scraps at all residential dwellings governed by the Village of Fox Lake as outlined within this Request for Proposal (RFP). Services under this contract will begin November 1, 2024. Questions - July 1, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Response to Questions - July 5, 2024 The proposed initial term of the Franchise Agreement will begin on November 1, 2024, and end on October 31, 2029. Owner Rights: The Village reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to use without limitation any and all information, concepts, and data submitted in response to this RFP, or derived by further investigation thereof. The Village further reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this solicitation, to reject any or all proposals, to supplement, add to, delete from, or otherwise change this RFP if conditions dictate. The Village may seek clarifications from a business at any time and failure to respond promptly may be cause for rejection. The Village also reserves the right to interview only those businesses it determines shall provide the most advantageous services and to negotiate with one (1) or more businesses to contract terms acceptable to the Village whether or not said business submitted a proposal. Performance Bond - Attachment D The contractor shall furnish to the Village a performance bond on an annually renewable form (or a renewable multi-year bond) and on terms all acceptable to the Village in the amount of $500,000, which bond obligation shall run for the entire term of the contract, including any extensions, and shall be delivered to Village within 30 days of execution of this contract.
