Renovation of a residential development in Salem, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The project includes removal and replacement of 36 Electric Water Heaters wired for off-peak, within 6 occupied buildings located at 70 Telfer Circle in Salem, NH. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this project (Davis Bacon Wage Rate Determination). Minority and Women's business enterprises and businesses eligible for Section 3 preference are encouraged to bid this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. Questions shall be submitted to Michael Finocchiaro, Maintenance Supervisor via email at site@salemhousing.com or by calling (603)490-2928. Contractor is responsible to apply, secure, and pay for all necessary permits and fees. o Work completed as part of this project must comply with all state and local building codes and regulations. o Contractor shall include all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete the project in its entirety, including removal and disposal of all debris created as part of the project. o Contractor is responsible to investigate and become familiar with all aspects of the existing buildings as it relates to this project. Contractors are encouraged to ask questions during the proposal process. No additional compensation will be approved during construction for work that is visible or apparent through the project documents or during review of the existing conditions. o All 36 electric water heater tanks installed shall be 40-gallon, 208V, 3380W, wired for off peak with a 6-year manufacturer product warranty. o Provide electronic submittals to the owner for all water heaters for review and approval. o Hold a pre-construction meeting with the owner to review communication, procedures, storage of materials, schedule, etc. prior to commencing work. o Temporary protection of existing materials not being replaced as part of this project. Contractor will pay for any damages to the water heater area that result from their failure to adequately protect the space. o Contractor is responsible to coordinate tenant notification with the owner as agreed to during the pre-construction meeting o Removal of existing water heaters as required to install new water heaters. Items to be removed and replaced include: o 36 electric water heaters o Provide an alternate price for a Payment and Performance Bond for the full value of your proposed price. o Provide an alternate unit price to replace mixing valves on an as needed basis. Some mixing valves have previously been replaced. o This project will require Davis Bacon Residential Wage Rates. Required rates are provided by the owner. The contractor is responsible for completing all required paperwork and certified payrolls during this project. o Upon completion of the project the contractor will provide the owner with a copy of all manufacturer product warranty information. o Contractor will provide the owner with a 1-year warranty for all work performed under this contract.
