WORK includes drainage and surface course improvements to the Haines Borough Visitor Center parking lot including demolition, site grading, asphalt pavement, and connecting a new storm water inlet to an existing buried conveyance system. Additional WORK includes parking lot striping and signage, salvaging solid waste and recycling structures, protecting existing buried utilities, and other work required for completion of the project The Engineer's Estimate for all the WORK detailed herein is $100,000.00 to $200,000.00. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid, payable to the Borough of Haines, Alaska, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License, prior to submitting a Bid, and a current Haines Borough Business License prior to award.
