Site work for a civil project in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.

The District of Highlands is seeking proposals from qualified Bidders in response to this Invitation to Tender for the 2024 Culvert Replacement Program. On Point Project Engineers, in conjunction with WSP Canada Inc., have prepared a design and have received Ministry approval to replace the three existing culverts in the District of Highlands, the locations are outlined below. The desirable window for the installation of these culvert replacements begins on August 15, 2024, but the preferred start date is September 3, 2024. All instream work is to be completed no later than September 15, 2024. Culvert #1: Location: 3281 Lakeridge Place Remove existing 500mm x 11 metre (plus / minus) length of CSP/ Corrugated Plastic culvert. Backfill and compact in lifts with MMCD acceptable subgrade and base course. Repave with 50mm thickness of Hot Mix Asphalt Dispose of waste culvert and excavated material. Install new Rock Mortar headwall / end wall at both inlet and outlet. Water course flows to downstream fish habitat – Environmental Protection measures apply. Additional ditching around Lakeridge Place and Woodridge Place to ensure a functioning drainage ditch to allow flow of stormwater to the next culvert. Culvert #2: Location: Compton Road @ Munn Road Remove existing 500mm x 17 metre (plus / minus) length of CSP culvert. Backfill and compact in lifts with MMCD acceptable subgrade and base course. Repave with 50mm thickness of Hot Mix Asphalt Dispose of waste culvert and excavated material. Install new Rock Mortar headwall / end wall at both inlet and outlet. Water course flows to downstream fish habitat – Environmental Protection measures apply Culvert #3: Location: Munn Road @ Compton Road Remove existing 500mm x 13 metre (plus / minus) length of CSP culvert. Backfill and compact in lifts with MMCD acceptable subgrade and base course. Repave with 75mm thickness of Hot Mix Asphalt Dispose of waste culvert and excavated material. Install new Rock Mortar headwall / end wall at both inlet and outlet. Water course flows to downstream fish habitat – Environmental Protection measures apply. Additional ditching as required on inlet side of culvert to ensure stormwater flows into culvert.
