Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Powell, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The purpose is to solicit bids from Demolition Contractors for the demolition of structures located at 7761 Liberty Road, Parcel Number 3191330100100, south portion of parcel. The entire demolition and restoration project is to be completed no later September 7, 2024. Location: Liberty Township has identified the structures located on Parcel Number 3191330100100, 7761 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio for demolition and site clearance. Scope of Work: The work involves the furnishing of all services, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for and incidental to the demolition and removal of structures, including the following: Demolition of the old Fire Station #321/Township Hall and the three (3) Road Services Maintenance facilities. Asphalt and concrete walking and parking areas demolition and removal; recycling of asphalt. Removal of the foundations of all buildings, including but not limited to concrete base/pad of old Fire Station #321. Erosion control. Obtaining all necessary permits relating to the demolition of commercial structures and hauling of debris, including but not limited to the Ohio EPA notification; Liberty Township shall be responsible for securing an asbestos survey in accordance with the Ohio EPA regulations. Capping of utilities, including sanitary sewer at right-of-way. Hauling debris from the demolition site. The Contractor shall dispose of all rubble and debris in an approved licensed facility. Any material dropped from the trucks must be picked up. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to clean the hauling route daily of all materials dropped from the haul trucks. Retention and restoration (if damaged) of the public right of way, roadway and existing driveway. Finishing the site so that it is free from debris and properly graded to compensate for settling. Coverage of the site with at least six inches of topsoil, fill must be free from debris. Keeping the demolition site clean and free from excess debris daily during demolition and following completion of demolition. Performing the project in a professional and safe manner, providing all necessary protections and taking all necessary precautions to protect adjacent property from injury or damage during the entire demolition project. Liberty Township shall be responsible for required Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) asbestos surveys. Liberty Township shall contract with approved Ohio EPA asbestos surveying company and ensure survey(s) are completed to comply with EPA regulations. Where asbestos abatement is indicated, notification shall be filed with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. All asbestos abatement work shall be performed in compliance with all EPA, OSHA and State regulations regarding asbestos removal and disposal. Liberty Township shall be responsible for asbestos abatement if necessary. The successful bidder shall be required to faithfully perform all things to be done under the contract. Accordingly, a performance bond in the full amount (100%) of the contract shall, as a condition of entering the contract, be required from the successful bidder. Said bond shall be in the name of Liberty Township Board of Trustees, Delaware County, Ohio; be furnished within ten (10) days from the date of the award; and be in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54, et seq. The performance bond shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
