The work includes the construction of approximately 5,215 linear feet of 12" waterline, valves, hydrants, services, fittings and appurtenances along Blaine Road in Montgomery County and Hwy. 109 in Davidson County. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the type of work required. Bids will be received on a lump price basis as described in the Contract Documents. The work is to commence within 15 days after the Date of Contract. Completion of the work is as required in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of 60 days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The Owner reserves the right to select alternatives, to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional Bids.
