The City of Abbotsford is requesting proposals from a professional, qualified and experienced contractor that offers the best value to complete the Construction of Engineer Park Project, located at 27823, 27831 Fraser Hwy, 3080, 3088 Engineer Cr. The work should include mobilization, demobilization, safety planning, environmental protection, traffic control and provision of all labour, equipment and materials required for the work. The work shall include all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the park construction. The work will include but is not limited to the following list and is more fully described in the tender drawings, specifications, and schedule of prices: Erection and maintenance of site hoarding until the Park is open to the public. Erection and maintenance of ESC measures up until substantial completion. Erection and maintenance of tree protection fencing. Provide project oversight and on-site supervision throughout the entire duration of the Construction. Ensure that all construction work is conducted safely, and within the guidelines as prescribed by industry best practices, WorkSafe BC, and the City of Abbotsford. Contractor shall supply their own lunch, washroom and wash facility. Protection of existing roads, paving, structures, trees, wetlands, and utilities during the work. Make good, repair or replace any damage to the City’s approval. Ensure that all work is completed within the budget and time frame agreed upon. Site excavation, grading and preparation, base material preparation coordination with the geotechnical engineer to ensure the required compaction tests are met and ensuring the site and its surroundings remain undamaged, clean and in good order. Supply and install all water and drainage servicing and connections as per attached drawings and specifications. Contractor shall apply for all applicable permits with the City of Abbotsford, or any other associated authorities if needed. For quality assurance, the contractor must conduct material testing to verify compliance with CSA standards and specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, testing concrete, asphalt, and growing medium. Stripping and grubbing, including the disposal of trees and vegetation Excavating and site grading Supply and installation of two playgrounds, including play structures/equipment, safety surfacing, sub drainage, concrete boarders and associated landscaping works. Supply and installation of a Picnic Shelter with concrete foundation and pad. Complete construction of site services including water, storm and two hose bibs/drinking fountains, and one lawn basin/catch basin, and water meter c/w a backflow preventer Design and build of complete irrigation system for all proposed planting areas and sod lawn areas in phase A. Supply and installation of asphalt path Supply and installation of gravel loop trails Supply and installation of asphalt sport court with backstops and fences Supply and installation of concrete entrance plaza Supply and installation of grass berms Supply and installation of rain gardens / Bioswale Supply and installation of open grassy play area Landscape planting including tree, planting materials and sufficient growing medium and mulch; Supply and installation of site furnishings including concrete pads (Picnic Tables, Benches, Bike Racks, Drinking Fountain, water Tap) Gravel Maintenance path outer loop (Optional) Dog Park area (Optional) Boardwalk and gravel trails crossing Bertrand Creek (Optional) Rehabilitation of areas disturbed during installation to match existing conditions, including roads, utilities, structures, fencing, wetlands and any other landscaped areas.
