The Cass County Land Bank Authority is requesting proposals from qualified Architecture/engineering firms to provide design and construction monitoring services for Cass County Land Bank Authorities project known as the 117 S. Broadway Rehabilitation Project. Funding for the project is provided by the State Land Bank Authority Round 4 Blight Elimination Grant Funding. The Cass County Land Bank Authority (CCLBA), has received a grant from the State Land Bank Authority within their RPF 2023-0109 Blight Elimination Program (Round 4) to address the vacant property located at 117 S. Broadway, Cassopolis, MI 49031 and reimagine and redevelop the property utilizing the 2nd floor as 80% AMI housing (minimum of 6 units) and preparing the main floor and basement as "white box: areas. The CCLBA has based this project on the 2nd Floor Study of the 117 S. Broadway building completed by Wightman in June of 2020. The 117 S. Broadway building is a steel structure on a concrete foundation with open web joists and concrete floors. The exterior has full height aluminum ribbon windows and brick with limestone pilasters. The entry features an aluminum storefront. The services provided by the individual or firm selected will include: Project initiation meeting Design Construction Documents Permits Bid Process and Selection of Construction Contractor Assist the CCLBA with Construction Management and Site Inspection Assist the CCLBA with Federal Funds Compliance Assist the CCLBA with State Land Bank Compliance The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
