The City of Austin (City) seeks to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor(s) to provide polymers used to thicken sludge prior to anaerobic digestion and to dewater anaerobically digested sludge at the City of Austin's (City) Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant (BMP). The Contractor shall provide only liquid emulsion cationic polymers. Dry polymer formulations are not acceptable. In addition to providing the polymer product(s), the Contractor shall provide support services including cleaning the existing polymer tanks at the Hornsby Bend BMP. This contract will be awarded to one vendor that has the lowest on all items that meet specification requirements. Any other items or services that are clearly necessary to provide thickening and dewatering polymer product and cleaning of the tanks shall constitute contract requirements even if not directly specified or called for in the scope of work This Contract shall remain in effect for an initial term of 36 months, or the City terminates the Contract. This Contract may be extended beyond the initial term for up to two (2) twelve (12) month periods at the City's sole option. The City reserves the right to designate the tanks to be cleaned based on the costs specified in the Price Sheet's informational section. The Contractor shall clean the polymer storage tanks detailed in the Polymer Storage Tank table either before the initial polymer delivery or on a date mutually arranged with the City and Contractor.
