The need for a Citywide Camera project in Union City, Georgia, arose due to various factors including illegal dumping, excessive trash, vehicle break-ins, and the desire to upgrade urban infrastructure. These issues prompted City officials to initiate acomprehensive surveillance system to enhance public safety, monitor traffic, and improve overall security measures across the City. General Requirements - Insurance Required - License Required The term of the Contract for the Project will be a period of 150 calendar days. I. Camera Installation: o Conduct a thorough assessment of key locations within the City for camera placement. o Install surveillance cameras at strategic points such as major intersections, public parks, transportation hubs, and high-crime areas. o Ensure that camera placements comply with legal and regulatory requirements. o Provides the City and surrounding partners with relevant and instantaneous information allowing for advanced detection, increased situational awareness, rapid communication, and efficient responses to crime and other critical incidents. II. Network Infrastructure: o Establish a robust network infrastructure to support the camera system. o Install necessary cabling, switches, routers, and other networking equipment to ensure seamless communication between cameras and monitoring stations. o Implement backup systems to prevent data loss and ensure continuous operation. o Software must integrate with any data source. o Must utilize all existing equipment and cameras (eliminating/reducing cost of rip & replace). o Pull public and private video feeds into a single platform. o Integrate with any data sources and ALPR/LPR platforms (flock cameras). o Access all data in one place (cloud integration). III. Camera Integration: o Integrate the surveillance cameras into a centralized monitoring system. o Configure software for real-time monitoring, recording, and playback of video feeds. o Implement video analytics capabilities for automated event detection and alerting. o Information gathered through an expanding range of technologies is analyzed and translated into efficient and effective operational and actionable intelligence capable of protecting law enforcement and the community in a proactive, intelligence-led, and technology-led methodology versus a reactive approach to public safety. IV. Monitoring and Control Center: o Set up a centralized monitoring and control center equipped with monitoring stations, displays, and control consoles. o Train personnel in the operation of monitoring equipment and software. o Establish protocols for responding to incidents and coordinating with law enforcement agencies. Data Storage and Management: o Implement a scalable storage solution for storing video footage. o Ensure compliance with data retention policies and regulations. o Implement access controls and encryption to protect sensitive data. VI. Maintenance and Support: o Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for the surveillance system. o Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades as necessary. o Provide training to City personnel on system operation and troubleshooting.
