Parking Lot for: Improvements Contract PROJECT DESCRIPTION Work will consist of asphalt pavement removal, asphalt milling and overlay, bituminous seal coat, asphalt patching, and pavement striping at the Pershing School located at 2912 N. University Avenue. Work is to be complete by August 9, 2024. The School District reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids, reject any or all bids and to accept any bid deemed most advantageous to the District. BID STIPULATION Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "Pershing School - Parking Lot Improvements". An accompanying bid bond shall be equal to 10% of the total bid price. This may be in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond payable to the Owner. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen, mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities and minor irregularities in bidding, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
