Reference Number 0000359085 The City of New Bedford Purchasing Department in conjunction with the Department of Facilities & Fleet Management is soliciting sealed bids for the Former Fire Station No. 6 Tower Demo project located at 151 Purchase Street New Bedford, MA 02740. Work of the Project includes selective demolition and removal of designated portions of the hose tower and the installation of new framing / new roofing and all related components as otherwise required for performance and completion of new Work under the Contract as indicated on the Drawings. Bid Intent Optional Bid Intent Deadline 08/16/2024 05:00 PM EDT Question Acceptance Deadline 08/14/2024 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes estimated budget for this project is $65,000 and the estimated substantial completion date is the November 15, 2024 Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is five percent (5%) of the bid. Bid deposits may be in the form of Certified Check, Certificate of Deposit, or Bid Bond made payable to the City of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The Awarded Bidder must furnish a 50 percent (50%) Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City. The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages MBE/WBE/DBE participation in response to the IFB process MBE (18%), WBE (6.9%) MBE: 11 % of the Contract Price. WBE: 5 % of the Contract Price.
