Renovation of an educational facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Grades 7-12 Reconfiguration Renovation at The Margarita Muniz Academy Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Removal and installation of two new partition walls for the Margarita Muniz Academy as specified on plans and specifications Remove existing operable wall partitions between classrooms 301/302 and 304/305. The contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of all debris. 2. Furnish and install two new drywall partitions measuring 92" high by 25' long. Partition shall be constructed of 3 5/8" 20-gauge metal studs along with two layers of 5/8" drywall on each side. Skim to a smooth plaster finish ready for paint. 3. Furnish and install two new welded metal frames and two new prefinished birch wood doors prepped for 9010 mortise locks, SL24 select hinges, kick plates, and LCN4041 closers which will be supplied by the Boston Public Schools Planning and Engineering Department. 4. Paint the two new partitions with one coat of primer and two coats of finish along with DTM on the metal frames. 5. Install 100 feet of vinyl black cove base. 6. The Contractor shall not disturb the existing sprinkler system located along the existing wall partition. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to the sprinkler system.
