SYNOPSIS: Rehabilitation of Archives and Museum Spaces at the Dan Beard Center Building THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The National Park Service, Interior Region 2, Contracting Operations East, South Contracting Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to rehabilitate two large spaces in the Daniel Beard Research Center (DBRC) at the Pine Island District of Everglades National Park. The spaces labeled Room 57 and Room 58 are each roughly 2,000 square feet in size. Detailed specifications and construction drawings will be provided with the solicitation documents. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued on or about August 1, 2024 (the date is subject to change) and will be posted to the SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/home This procurement will be 100% set aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Contractors. The small business standard is $45 million. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,00.00. TYPE OF PROCUREMENT: It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price construction contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical, past performance, and price proposal. The Government intends to award (1) one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price, and other factors considered. Payment and Performance Bonds and Bid Guarantee will be required. The contract is expected to be awarded by September 2024. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Dade County in Florida will apply. SAM REGISTRATION: All interested offers MUST have an active vendor record in SAM.gov, be a HUBZone business and a small business under the identified NAICS code 236220, and NOT have any exclusion such as a delinquent federal debt or debarment. SITE VISIT: Only one (1) site visit is scheduled for this action. A date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirements and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. Offers will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers.
