The Hazlehurst City School District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the complete interior and exterior remodel of our administration buildings. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, new roofing, windows, flooring, drop ceilings, plumbing, painting, and various upgrades. The goal is to upgrade the administrative spaces to improve functionality, aesthetics, and energy efficiency. 1. Project Description: Buildings: Hazlehurst City School District Administration Building: 119 Robert McDaniel Drive, Hazlehurst, MS. Scope of Work: Exterior: New roof, Windows, Exterior paint, Door and hardware upgrades, Landscaping and hardscape improvements. Interior: New flooring, Drop ceilings, Plumbing, Paint (walls, trim, ceilings), Electrical upgrades, Drywall (demo existing, replace, and finish), ADA accessibility improvements, Upgrades to administrative spaces. 2. Scope of Work Details: Exterior: Roof: Complete removal of existing roof materials and installation of a new roofing system. Windows: Removal of old windows and installation of new energy-efficient windows. Exterior Paint: Preparation and painting of all exterior surfaces. Doors and Hardware: Replacement of doors and hardware to enhance security and functionality. Signage: Upgrades to exterior signage for improved visibility and aesthetics. Landscaping and Hardscape: Improvements to the surrounding landscape and hardscape (specific selection TBD). Interior: Flooring: Installation of Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) or similar flooring throughout. Ceilings: Installation of new drop ceilings, including ceiling tiles and grid systems. Walls and Ceilings: Painting of all walls, trim, and ceilings where hard surfaces exist. Plumbing: Upgrades to plumbing systems as necessary to support new fixtures and ensure functionality. Add an additional bathroom in the Superintendents office. Electrical: Replacement of all existing lights with LED light fixtures for improved energy efficiency and lighting quality. Signage: Upgrades to interior signage for better wayfinding and compliance. Casework and Custom Carpentry: Design and installation of casework and custom carpentry in the boardroom (design to be proposed based on description -TBD). ADA Accessibility: Improvements to ADA accessibility, including the installation of updated grab bars and associated fixtures. 3. Proposal Requirements: Interested contractors are required to submit the following information: A. Company Information: Hazlehurst City School District, 119 Robert McDaniel Drive, Hazlehurst, MS 39083. Brief history of the company and relevant experience. List of key personnel who will be involved in the project, including their qualifications. B. Project Approach: Detailed description of the approach to be taken for the project. Proposed timeline for the completion of each phase of the project. Strategies for minimizing disruption to the operation of the administration buildings during construction. C. Previous Experience: Examples of similar projects completed in the past five years. References from at least three previous clients. D. Cost Proposal: Detailed cost breakdown for the entire project, including labor, materials, and any other associated costs. Payment schedule based on project milestones. E. Legal and Insurance Requirements: Proof of contractors license. Proof of liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. Any other relevant certifications or qualifications. 4. Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Compliance with the proposal requirements. Experience and qualifications of the contractor. Proposed approach and timeline. Cost effectiveness. References and past performance.
