Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Playground Equipment Install for Washington, Westside, and Jesmond Dene Parks The Town of South Kingstown is seeking the installation of three new Mitsubishi ductless heat pump systems, and one ducted heat pump system or equal in the Highway Garage, 134 Asa Pond Road, Wakefield, RI 02879 The winning bidder will supply the below mentioned labor, materials and equipment for your project. 1 Provide and install new Multi-split Heat Pump system at the South Kingstown Highway Garage 1.1 Provide, deliver, and install three (3) indoor units. one (1) new Mitsubishi MSZGS09NA-U1, one (1) new Mitsubishi MSZ-GS15NA-U1 and one (1) MSZGS12NA-U1 or equal, wall mounted indoor units. Final placement will be chosen by the Director of Facilities. 1.2 Mount and secure mounting back plates evenly spaced on the interior walls. 1.3 Mount indoor units on mounting back plate. 1.4 Patch and paint the wall if necessary. 1.5 Provide and install one (1) MXZ-3C30NAHZ4-U1 Multi-Split Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pump system. Mounted on the exterior of the building. 1.6 Assemble and secure condensing unit mounting stand to area chosen by the Director of Facilities. 1.7 Rig new condensing units into place. 2 Provide and install new 36K BTU/H Multi Position AHU Cold Climate Ducted Heat Pump System 2.1 Provide, deliver and install one (1) new Mitsubishi SVZ-KP36NA and one (1) SUZ-KA36NAHZ or equal. Final placement will be chosen by the Director of Facilities. 2.2 Mount and secure the ducted unit (Mitsubishi SVZ-KP36NA) above the drop ceiling in the lunchroom 2.3 Supply and install ducted grills for each space served by this unit 2.4 Supply and install ducted main return grills in the lunchroom and hall 2.5 Mount indoor unit according to normal installation practices. 2.6 Provide and install one (1) SUZ-KA36NAHZ Cold Climate Air Source Heat pump system. Mounted on the exterior of the building. 2.7 Assemble and secure condensing unit mounting stand to area chosen by the Director of Facilities. 2.8 Rig new condensing units into place. 3 Install new refrigerant piping from the exterior mounted units to the indoor units 3.1 Provide new wall penetration for refrigeration piping 3.2 Run new line-set refrigeration piping in the Highway garage areas, penetrating through the wall to the evaporator units 3.3 Connect piping to condensing unit and indoor evaporator and test piping 4 Install new electrical feed from utility room panels 4.1 Provide new subpanel in utility room. 4.2 Provide properly sized breakers for the condenser feeds. 4.3 Install new properly sized power and control landing at both indoor and outdoor units. 4.4 Provide and install a main power disconnect for each outdoor condensing unit. (2 total) and electrical receptacles per code. 4.5 Install new wiring between indoor unit and outdoor condensing unit per manufacturer's recommendation. 5 Install new condensate piping 5.1 Install new PVC condensate piping to the indoor units. 5.2 Pipe condensate to suitable drain and provide condensate pumps if necessary. 6 Control wiring 6.1 Install new hard-wired thermostats to control ducted unit. 6.2 Thermostat shall be placed in the lunchroom. 6.3 Test operation of thermostats. 7 Start up and test operation of unit 7.1 Evacuate systems and charge per manufacturer's recommendations. 7.2 Start-up and test operation of the units. 7.3 Provide warranty service for one year from start up
