Submit all questions pertaining to this procurement through online The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the refurbishment of the roof covering bays 1 through 5 at 485 Cayuga Road, Cheektowaga, New York 14225 in accordance with applicable federal laws and regulations. The roof area covering bays 1 through 5 of the building is 203 feet by 650 feet, as laid out in the Roof Plan. The scope of work includes all labor, equipment, and materials to prepare existing modified bitumen roof system and install new fully adhered .115 Fleece Back Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (hereby referred to as "EPDM") roof system. This will include: a. Clean existing roof systems with a light power wash and allow to dry. b. Remove all existing non-EPDM roof edge, wall, curb, etc. Flashings c. Tear our existing roofing at all roof drains in 16 feet by 16 feet area and install new tapered insulation. d. Install new 115 mil Carlisle Fleeceback Membrane, or equal, in Carlisle fast adhesive. e. Flash all penetrations with new EDPM membrane. f. Install new sheet metal flashings. g. Furnish the NFTA with the roofing system manufacturer's 20-year, 72 MPH warranty. This project shall commence in the early Fall of 2024, however if the contractor can start sooner, they shall indicate as such in their proposal. The exact start date will be agreed upon between the NFTA and the successful contractor following the award process. The RFP award is anticipated to be issued by September 2024. This procurement is subject to NYS Prevailing Wage Rates. The successful Proponent must provide a performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond to the NFTA within three business days after receipt of a fully executed contract from the NFTA.
