A portion of the 1st floor of B6402 (approximately 3,500 sf) will be renovated to comply with the requirements of the current edition of ICD 705 'Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartments Information Facilities. Creating several Secure rooms in the space with various requirements. Re-routing building utilities as need around the secure space. All rerouting will be done before demo or disconnection of actively used com, power, HVAC, Fire Alarm , Fire Suppression, or other building elements. All workers will be escorted at all times, and will need to be US citizens. The intent is to construction to comply with ICD 705 for construction. Indicate the removal, replacement, patching and supplementing of the existing gypsum board that will form the Secure perimeter to comply with ICD 705 and all STC requirements. Indicated the replacement of the existing finishes to include flooring, paint and ceilings. The work must meet all applicable STC performance requirements. Doors at the Secure perimeter and at user specified compartments within the Secure Envelope to meet the required STC ratings as indicated in ICD 705. Any existing damaged construction is to be identified in the design. Existing damaged construction will be demolished and replaced with new construction OR patched to a new condition. The architectural design will comply with all applicable building codes, AFIs, UFC and ICD 705. The WORK of the proposed Secure area will include walls, floor, ceilings, and doors defining room envelope. The rooms will comply with all requirements of ICD 705 and the indicated STC ratings. Project Location: Barksdale AFB, Louisiana 71111. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: A portion of the First floor (approx. 2,750 sq. ft) will be renovated to create a new SCIF. Within the SCIF will be a Secure Conference Room and a new Comm Room. All construction within secure areas will comply with the current edition of ICD 705 V1.5 and all STC requirements. Space for approximately 27 new workstations will be provided. The period of performance on this project will be 230 Calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
