City Yard HVAC Replacement Project. Question Deadline 07/11/2024 at 3:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Scope of Services The City of Culver City is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to remove 9 existing HVAC package units and 5 existing Make Up Air ("MUA") natural gas furnace heating units and replace them with 14 new HVAC all-electric heat pump package units and to remove and replace 23 exhaust fans (the "Project"). Other Details Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% The scope of work includes removing all 9 existing HVAC package units and all 5 existing MUA furnace heating units and 23 exhaust fans and replacing them with 14 new HVAC all-electric heat pump package units and 23 new exhaust fans that adhere to the technical specifications contained in Exhibit A - Technical Specifications (the Project). To view detailed plans of the existing HVAC configuration, See Exhibit B -- Schedules; Exhibit C - Rooftop HVAC Plan, and Exhibit D - Mechanical and Electrical Plans, all of which are attached hereto. The scope of work requires the Proposer to complete the following work related to implementation of the Project: Prepare stamped, mechanically engineered drawings, and submit them along with an application to obtain no-fee mechanical, electrical, building and any other permits that may be required from the Citys Building & Safety Division prior to commencement of work. Proposer to provide temporary, portable HVAC units that serve the first and second floor offices, restrooms, and shops on the first floor, which are to be operated during normal business hours during the Projects implementation. Furnish all tools, equipment, hardware, supplies and labor necessary to remove the existing equipment and to replace it with the new equipment. Cap existing natural gas lines that will no longer be used by the new equipment. Determine and subsequently perform any electrical system modifications necessary to operate the new equipment. For the following items, remove the old and replace with new: All rooftop packaged units electrical connections, conduits, wiring, and related components leading to/from rooftop units, condensate drains, insulated refrigerant lines, wiring to thermostats, control wiring. Proposer is responsible for removal and disposal of all existing equipment and related construction debris. Replace all thermostats with Wi-Fi programmable types. Currently, some conduit is being shared by the HVAC system and the fire alarm system. Where there is an overlap of the two sharing the same conduit, leave the old, existing conduits in place for their exclusive use by the fire alarm system and install new conduits for the HVAC system. Remove existing rooftop package unit placement pads and replace them with new ones whose size and type adhere to the equipment manufacturers requirements. Remove all existing fire detection and damper control systems from the existing ductwork and returns, remove and replace all ductwork with new
