Site work and paving for a civil project in Oroville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work, located in the vicinity of Oroville, Butte County, California, consists of, but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, traffic control, grading, paving, concrete, storm drain facilities, striping, and signage, all in conformance with the California Department of Transportation 2022 Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions, unless specified herein. All work shall include furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans, as described in the Special Provisions, and the attached contract specifications, or as directed by the Engineer. County Project No. 27561-5321-16 / 27561-5321-24, 27581 -2-5321 -13 Federal-Aid Project No. ER 15A5(035) / ER 15A5(040) Engineer's Estimate: $7,500,000.00 All questions must be asked via Public Purchase no later than 10:00 AM, July 18, 2024. The County of Butte affirms that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), as defined in 49 CFR 26, will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation. Bidders are also advised that, per federal law, as defined in 49 CFR 26, the County is implementing requirements for project specific goals for participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) in this Federal-Aid Contact. The DBE Contract goal for participation in this project is 11 percent. This project is subject to the "Buy America" provisions of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982, as amended by the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency act of 1991. It is the responsibility of the prime construction contractor of a Federal-Aid Project to insure that the required contract provisions contained in Federal Form 1273 are physically included in all subcontracts, lower tier subcontracts, and purchase orders. Incorporating the required contract provisions contained in Federal Form 1273 into subcontracts by reference is not acceptable. Federal Prevailing Wages are required on this contract. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and prevailing wage rates determined by the Department of Industrial Relations for similar classifications of labor, the Contractor and his subcontractors shall pay no less than the higher wage rate. This includes "helper" (or other classifications based on hours of experience) or any other classification not appearing in the Federal wage determinations. Where Federal wage determinations do not contain the State wage rate determination otherwise available for use by the Contractor and subcontractors, the Contractor and subcontractors shall pay not less than the Federal minimum wage rate, which most closely approximates the duties of the employees in question. The County of Butte reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid. All Requests for Information inquiries shall be submitted prior to 7 calendar days of the bid opening date. The attention of bidders is particularly directed to the provisions of Section 5-1.12, "Assignment," of the Standard Specifications regarding assignment of the contract. Contractor's attention is directed to Section 3-1.06, "Contractor License" of the Standard Specifications. The Contractor and any Subcontractors shall possess a Class A license or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract at the time this contract is awarded through Contract acceptance (23 CFR 635.110).
