General Nature of Improvement Sun Valley Lake Rural Improvement Zone Creveling Basin and Channel Stabilization & Greenland Dry Basin Ringgold County, Iowa Project No. 2142301110 & 2142206301 The Creveling Basin and Channel Stabilization project includes the construction of an earthen dam embankment from approximately 11,500 CY of material borrowed onsite. The project also involves installation of a water control structure and outlet pipe, placement of rip rap stream armoring and outlet protection, general grading, fencing, and surface restoration at the completion of the project. The Greenland Dry Basin project includes the construction of an earthen dam embankment from approximately 10,500 CY of material borrowed onsite. The project also involves installation of an outlet pipe, placement of rip rap outlet protection, general grading, tree clearing, fencing, and surface restoration at the completion of the project. Document Notes : In order to ensure receipt of any project addenda, bidders should ensure they are placed on the list. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish, after the award of contract, a corporate surety bond in a form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract. The bid security must be in the minimum a mount of 5% of the total bid. Bid security shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Iowa or drawn on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in Iowa or satisfactory to the Jurisdiction. The bid bond must be submitted on the enclosed Bid Bond form as no other bid bond forms are acceptable. All signatures on the bid bond must be original signatures in ink; facsimile (fax) of any signature or use of an electronic signature on the bid bond is not acceptable.
