A. The Project consists of installing Owner-supplied in-line check valves on nineteen (19) stormwater outflow pipes. These valves are generally installed in the manhole or stormwater structure on the inland side of the pipes. These effectively act as backflow preventer to keep intracoastal water from siphoning or backflowing into the city stormwater structures. B. General: 1. The following general scope of work for this contract and shall include but is not necessarily limited to the following: a. Dewater and clean each manhole or stormwater structure on the in-land side of the indicated outflow pipes. b. Mobilization/demobilization, general requirements and posting of bonds/guarantees and insurance certificates. c. Application and receipt of all applicable permits for the work. d. Performance of the work in accordance with the Contract documents and applicable City, Local and Stale Building Codes. e. Notification and coordination prior to any temporary closure or limiting access to public streets affected by the work. f. Install, maintain and remove all temporary structures, fencing, barriers, lighting, signage and incidentals to protect the public. 2.
