The District issues this Request for Qualifications and Proposals for Design-Build Services ("RFQ/P") to invite Design Build Entities to submit a proposal for Design and Construction projects listed in this RFQ/P. The San Ysidro School District, acting by and through its Governing Board ("District"), issues this Request for Qualifications and Proposals for Design-Build Services ("RFQ/P") to invite firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, persons, or professional organizations to submit Statements of Qualifications ("SOQ") and proposals as a Design-Build Entity ("DBE") for the performance of design and construction services for the District's "San Ysidro Middle School Revitalization Project" and the "Beyer Community Resource Center Project". District may elect to award both projects under a single DBE agreement at their discretion, while limiting the programming scope for each project to their corresponding estimated budgets. 1. Project Budget. The estimated construction budgets are: San Ysidro Middle School Revitalization Project: $30 Million Beyer Community Resource Center Project: $16 Million 2. Project Descriptions. The San Ysidro Middle School Modernization Project generally consists of the modernization of the original 1978 facility and subsequent additions, which spans over 92,000 square feet. The project will focus on enhancing the front entry appearance, relocating the main office, renovating classroom interiors and building exteriors, improving landscaping, and creating a new student innovation center. The Beyer Community Resource Center generally consists of the construction of a new 7,400 square foot Community Resource Center on the former site of Beyer Elementary School, which was demolished in 2012. The new center will consider cultural, educational and community needs in its design and aims to further enhance the District's relationship with the community. It plans to include a multi-purpose room, conference rooms, offices, a health center, a staging kitchen, an outdoor event area, and illuminated sports fields and courts.
