Renovation of a residential development in Niles, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Niles is currently looking for Michigan-licensed contractors interested in the opportunity to complete repairs for the 3rd Street Help for Homes Repair Program (HRP). The 3rd Street Home Repair Program will assist qualified homeowners in making health and safety improvements to residential single family properties located on 3rd Street. Repairs funded through this program must address emergency health and safety conditions, including accessibility modifications, code violations, replacement or upgrade of major housing systems, and limited amount of general property improvements. Funding through this program will go directly to contractors, who will carry out approved repairs on selected homes. A certified check or bidder's bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal will be required with each proposal. Proposals submitted without the certified check or bidders bond will not be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in proposals and to accept the proposal that in the opinion of the City Council is most advantageous to the City.
